Mechanical engineers · Palmerston North, Manawatū
We're Valentine Engineering: a full workshop on Armstrong Street, and boots that get out to farms and factories across the Manawatū. Plant maintenance, pipework and milking shed engineering, backed by a machine shop that makes the parts others order in.
What we do
From a seized bearing at the factory to a full rotary platform build on the farm, the same crew and the same workshop stand behind all of it.
Reactive, proactive and predictive maintenance on plant and machinery, plus the guards, walkways and handrails that keep your people safe around it.

Machining capability →Maintenance agreements
Our maintenance clients don't cross their fingers at 4:30am. An agreement with us comes with an after-hours line, and when it rings, one of us answers. If your plant, factory or milking platform can't afford to stand still, that cover is the part worth talking about.
Not on an agreement? Ring the workshop on (06) 357 1103 and we'll get you sorted.

Every photo on this site is ours: our workshop, our welds, our clients' sheds and plants.

When a processing line is down, every hour shows up on the bottom line. Here's the shape of how we look after the factories that rely on us, told through one example job.
[Client name]'s plant had a critical drive failing mid-season, with worn bearings threatening a full line stop within days.
Attended after hours under their maintenance agreement, machined and fitted replacement components from our own machine shop, and set up scheduled checks on the drive so the next failure gets caught before it happens.
[X] hours of unplanned downtime avoided, and a maintenance plan that's kept the line turning since.
A note for the Valentine team: this is an example case study. We'd swap in a real job in your words, with your numbers, and your client's sign-off (or keep them anonymous).
Where we work
The workshop and machine shop live at 24 Armstrong Street, Palmerston North. For everything else, we load the truck: farms, factories, construction sites and institutions across the Manawatū and further afield when the job calls for it.
A note for the Valentine team: tell us exactly how far you'll travel (Rangitīkei? Horowhenua? Tararua?) and we'll name the districts here.

Talk to us
Ring the workshop, or send us the details and we'll come back to you. If it's urgent, skip the form and pick up the phone — it's quicker for both of us.
